About Me
Hi! Iām a fourth-year journalism student at The University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a career in the Broadcast Journalism field, with a minor in communicating social issues.
I have numerous bylines, with one being in The Dallas Morning News, and I currently executive-produce a morning news show for the only fully student-run, FCC-licensed college news station in the country, Texas Student Television.
This past summer, I worked at MSNBC in New York City at 30 Rock!! My role was a digital producer intern, and in this position, I wrote headlines and descriptions for the website and YouTube. I also cut and edited clips for Instagram and TikTok. One of the videos I edited received over 10M views on TikTok, making it the highest-viewed MSNBC Reports TikTok of the summer!
During Spring 2025, I worked at KXAN as a news department intern in Austin, TX. In that role, I wrote numerous articles for the website, produced a long-form piece, filmed standups out in the field, edited packages and anchored at the desk.
During Summer 2024, I worked as a news department intern for KPRC-2 News in Houston, TX, a top-five news market station. In this role, I enhanced my skills as a producer and an anchor/reporter. I covered breaking news events, filmed standups out in the field, and anchored a newscast.
In addition to my KPRC 2 internship, I worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin. In this position, I assisted a professor in editing her third book and collected information about the Telegram App and other exciting projects. I am still working in this position, doing other research projects.
I also worked as a vote entry operator for the Associated Press. I tabulated and inputted votes for the summer primary elections and covered the Presidential Election in November.
